About the Doctor

Dr. Harpole finds it important to provide women – especially teens – with a good experience when they have their first gynecological exam so that they will return for routine screenings and health issues for life. She is especially interested in research on the Human Papillomavirus and is a proponent of the Gardasil vaccine. A biomedical engineering major before medical school, Dr. Harpole also has a particular interest in advancements in ultrasound technology and its impact on prenatal care.

Dr. Harpole and her husband have three daughters. The family enjoys the arts and spends much of their leisure time at the theatre, ballet and symphony. The Harpole’s young daughters are involved in community and school theatre and dance programs. The family enjoys the water, as well – including fishing, swimming and most recently, kayaking.
